Don't you think Yahoo Answers shouldn't minus points for asking questions?

Don't you think they shouldn't minus your points just for asking a question? I mean, thats probably discouraging people from asking questions, and I thought everyone said asking questions is healthy! Teachers especially say this. I dont know, I just recently joined, and I was taken aback at how they decrease your number of points every time you ask a question. In my experience with other question/answer sites, if anything they rewarded you for asking a question. Does yahoo do this to prevent useless questions, or what? Whats your view on this?
