I've been dating this guy for the past few months and he happens to be older than me (I'm 22, he's 38). Recently, he got us a motel for the night and when I tried to pitch in, he told me it was okay since the money was "dirty." Quite honestly, you sound like a slave. Do your chores...that should be expected, but don't let your mom trick you into thinking that serving her breakfast in bed, giving her massages and cooking dinner is a chore. Those are extras that she's soaking you for and you should be paid accordingly. Some of these things shouldn't count as energy consuming. Like getting dressed for example, it's effortless, same as making yourself food, it needs to be done to keep yourself alive. Once you cut the extras out(catering to your mom) then these self preservation acts will seem a lot less demanding. I know going to a private school can be costly, but that doesn't mean you need to be a slave. I'm interested in knowing if it was your choice to go there or your mom's...sounds like she may be using it against you if it was her idea.

Have we waited too long?

My fiance and I have been together 7 years, engaged for 4. Is that too long of an engagement? We don't plan on getting married until 2012-2013, making us together for 8 years engaged for 5. She may have felt pressured that there was not enough time to answer your question and get through other material. Or if it appeared that you were not paying attention and then needed help because of it, she may have been frustrated with having to go through it again unnecessarily. Another possibility is that she was just having a bad day. Teachers are people too, you know! If this was an ongoing thing I would have different advice, but because it seems to be a one time event I would say that if you are really worried about it, ask her about it before or after class. They always say stuff like I have no friends and im ugly and no one will ever like me(even though I have a boyfriend). It just really hurts because I feel like I've done nothing wrong. That I couldn't go becaus therapist dont care about people they just want money then she said that we werent going to talk about this again. So now I'm just lost and don't know what to do. I felt proud for actually wanting help then she just said no. People were all "go tell a couseler" but schools over. I have no one I'm really close to eaither... and yeah I have considered killing myself.

01 saturn vibration issue?

Okay not to sound spoiled or nothing but its just me and my brother have never did chores. We are 17 & 16 and they just now give us a chore list. I'm in high school and never have had a girlfriend. I have an eye on a girl, but I'm too shy to talk to her. Why does a rabbit stand in there food?

If you used freshly made chicken broth, which had just been cooked on the stove, there were probably no living bacteria in it. They were all killed by the cooking. What you do is first make the agar by boiling the powder in water. You don't want any living bacteria to be in that. Pour it into the petri dish, cover it and allow it to gel (this will happen faster in the refrigerator, just like making Jello). Then you want to put some live bacteria onto the gelled agar. As I said, freshly cooked broth is not a good source of live bacteria. You can touch the agar with your fingers, or use a cotton swab (Q-tip) to wipe various areas like the sink drain, the bathroom floor, the inside of your mouth - areas where you know there are live bacteria. Then gently wipe the swab across the surface of the agar, cover the dish, and keep it in a warm dark place. You should have colonies of bacteria and fungi growing within 24 hours.

When will they start listening?

I don't know exactly how you feel, but I'm pretty much in the same spot. I had 4 kids in 5 years and all of them are big trouble makers. My husband is in the army and hasn't been here for the last nine months. My kids are now 7,5,3,2. It seems that they start being a little better behaved around four years old but starts to get a lot better by five. I still have some issues with behavior though, it feels like they run circles around me sometimes. The key is consistent discipline while they are younger, even if you have to stop what you are doing, or leave a store to accomplish it. When they get older you have heart felt discussions about how their behavior effects you. They will get to the point where they empathize and want to help. My oldest will say, "Mom I know the girls are being bad and you are getting frustrated, what do you want me to do to help?" She is such a sweetheart now, but it is due to the fact that she has learned I don't put up with her crap, and many heart to heart talks. She used to be the worst of all. Oh the stories I could tell. I know it seems sometimes like there is no light at the end of the tunnel when it is 24/7. Keep your head up and fight the good fight. It'll be worth it. Another tip I have is get them involved in the cleaning up. I tell my kids if they can't behave they must need a chore to keep them busy. Even the little ones like taking a wet rag and wiping down the walls. I know yours are still little but they can do something to help mama out. Also I would like to add that they are not too young for discipline. I always start my kids when they are 18 months to two years old. The older they are the harder they are to fight. Let them know who is in charge.

I live with my dad but I want to move so bad, My brother lives here too me and my bf have to do everything we have to clean and do laundry and the dishes. Why is my mom so mean for no reason?

She calls me dumb and annoying. Like if I am doing chores( which I do voluntarily with no reminders or rewards) and i don't know where something goes she says I am just dumb and will never be able to function in th real world etc etc. She does buy me stuff I want, but I don't really ask for much. When I was little and I would get a large amount of money and put it somewhere safe she would almost always come and take it when I was at school without even asking me. She would always say she needed it to pay bills or pay for a camp I was doing. After a while of her doing this I started to get annoyed and would tell her that she needed to ask for it and that she shouldn't take my money and she called me a spoiled brat. she doesn't take the money I earn though from working and babysitting though. I came away from my cousin's bridal shower perplexed. I always thought some food was part of the celebration. 3 year old child keeps crying in sleep?

It's 3:30 in the morning and I am sitting here in tears. I am listening to my 3 year old cry every 5 mins in her sleep. She doesn't have a fever. She has autisum and doesn't talk yet so she can't tell me what's wrong. I am trying to figure out what's wrong. Lately she has been really chewing on things and putting things in her mouth. My husband says she will probably be sick cause this morning she put the scrub brush for dishes in her mouth. I am worried it's something else. Could she have cavities? She refuses to let me look into her mouth. She is strong and she fights and bites. I want to take her to the dentist but the insurance company has the family with one who doesn't accept patients younger than four. I am so worried that she does. I brush her teeth everyday. Hello all. Am currently married and just found out that I'm pregnant about 2 months plus. My husband and I decided not to inform anyone yet until a trip to the gynae. After that, we decided to share the good news with our folks, and since i was close to my brother, to let him and his wife know as well. His wife and I've had problems before. I have never met anyone like her, and the issues she comes up with are mind boggling, tho time and time again, I told myself to not get carried away with petty issues and be the bigger person. Anyway, after calling her up & telling her, her response was curt and odd, and she ended the conversation with a "congrats" and hung up. Now, I was a bit taken aback. It wasn't like her at all. But I thought perhaps she was busy. Yesterday, she called me up, cold and formal, and said "I'm calling you because your mum asked me to call you and ask how you're doing". I tried to sound friendly and unaffected, but worry was churning in my stomach like butter. I have no clue why she's acting like this, when i text-ed her to ask, she replied : "I will be as transparent and open to you as you are to me. Look after yourself and the baby." I dislike my in-laws!!! Very much!!! They claim to want to dish out advice, and help me with my husband's craziness but then they turn it all around and demand that he shows up at their house at night, ALONE so they can "get the other side of the story" and then proceed to bash our marriage and me. And tell him how I don't care for him, etc. I won't tolerate it anymore and have blocked their texts and phone calls on my line.
