Is he unhappy with his marriage?

I was talking to a married man that I know fairly well the other day. He just got off the phone with his wife,sighed and turned to me and told me never to get married.He started listing all the bad things about marriage.He said it a little jokingly but he listed A LOT of things.Do you think he may be slightly unhappy in his marriage?He wasn't arguing with his wife on the phone as I heard the conversation .Just to be clear,I am not asking this question cause I want him I was just rather taken aback by it and I'm curious to what others think.
