Do you think this is distasteful for a tween tv show?

Last night, I was channel surfing and stumbled upon a show called "Wizards of Waverly Place" on the Disney channel. The scene was set in a high school (or Jr. High, not sure) with 3 popular girls including the "ringleader" of their clique. Two of the girls had bandages on their noses and said they had just gotten nose jobs so their nose would look just like hers. I was kinda taken aback by that, because surely the target audience of this show is tweens. Do you find that inappropriate for young minds or not a big deal?
