yes you should be honest with him, why hide what you can't do. and don't be ashamed and let him know as much but you can;t spend what you don't have. and there is no shame in how your family lives, they are honest working people trying to do what they can for you. so you should be proud of them. that's good but most rich people don't show off. yes tell him the true picture. if he is for real he'll understand and love you more.
