My 13 year old nephew ask me to spank him a few days ago. Is this strange?

He probably is just glad to have someone who cares for him. I think it's okay. He probably just wanted you to know that he respects you and will accept punishments. I don't think it's something to get a professional for unless he acts very strangely on a regular basis. If you are wondering why he did that just ask him.
